Road trips, staff accommodation, and our own minds: no place is safe. And that’s the way we like it here at Scare Street. At least in the confines of our books, that is.
In volume 3 of our Short Horror Stories series, Ron, Rowan, and I get to have some fun planting seeds of paranoia.
Seeds that will hopefully grow in the calm of the night and bear fruit the next time you’re someplace you think you’re safe.
In furtherance of that cause, I’ll make mention that my story, The Shadows, was based on an actual night I spent in staff accommodation. It’ll ruin the fun to tell you exactly where reality starts to blend with fantasy, or even where in the world this happened.
Just remember, the next time you’re trying to relax, you might be standing at the exact same spot I once was.
And that maybe, just maybe, the shadows aren’t as empty as you think.
