What happens when people investigating the paranormal bite off more than they can chew? That’s the basic premise for Nightmare Abbey, a story set in a classic haunted house. The twist is that it’s not haunted by anything like conventional ghosts.
Over two hundred years ago, the Devil himself was supposed to have come to Malpas Abbey, and taken its blaspheming owner to hell. After that, a series of strange – and bloody – events have occurred at the house, leading to its abandonment decades ago. It’s all got something to do with a mysterious stone altar in the cellar…
I thought it would be fun to team up an American TV crew making a typical series about spooky places with a British expert on the paranormal. To make things more interesting, someone is withholding some very useful information. When people are confronted by the worst nightmare, things start to get out of hand very quickly.
I hope people enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. And that nobody loses any sleep over who, or what, might creep into bed with them.
