Amherst, New Hampshire, is known for its lush landscapes and pastoral beauty. It’s also the home of The One, a hideous little ghost boy named Samson, who’s been dead for centuries and feeds off the life force of the living. His smile is as alluring as he is deadly. Now, Shane Ryan must destroy him before Samson grants the Watchers eternal life.

Shane is weary, depressed and in love with a ghost. If that’s not bad enough, his depression is leading him into reckless behavior on his job. He’s no longer a ghostbuster as much as a killing machine. He’s obsessed with annihilating the Watchers and their properties, one ghost and one human at a time. But his personal life is on a collision course with his professional mission and his friends are worried.

When Shane finally finds Samson, the encounter is cataclysmic. With demonic glee, the lethal specter relishes the thought of killing the ghost hunter. Fueled by hate, Shane’s obsession to destroy the Watchers and Samson drives him to the edge. As events spiral into a dark place, Shane realizes their end could also be his own…

This is the end, of Shane, Frank and the Ghosts? Claire…time is up?PLEASE, RON…NOOOOOOO😿I was so excited when I saw my kindle at 6am and AMHERST where there. I can’t wait, I begin to read then and there until finished.Ripley, never siezed to amaze me. This book is the “Cherry” of the Pie. It’s all action, hurt, good byes, vengeance and the best…GHOSTS, lots of them. Yeah💕.The characters and plots are better and better they grown up in Ripley’s mind and hands.Won’t stop until I finished the whole book. Ahhh.. you need to read this book and the whole Berkley Street Series. When you found an author like Ripley’s, never go back.I support Indie authors, they make an interesting twist on writing. The Publishers Houses had to be following more of them because they’re are writing incredible stories.I’m very honest with my Reviews, not only for me, the author or other readers, how an author know when did something good or need improvement? How another reader believe in my review? If I didn’t read the book, I don’t Review. If the book is good, Review. If the book isn’t good, Review. With that we all benefit, readers, authors & readers searching for something new or special. My opinions are my own. You can find me at Amazon under: MASTERI

Wish it was longer and love these books all of them so much. Did feel a little more rushed at the end but at the same time this book covered so much of the back story that I really really enjoyed it. Keep writing and I will keep reading.

I truly don’t want this series to end. I think I could continue to follow Shane on endless journeys. Shane is one of my favorite book characters ever. I hope his story can somehow continue? Hint.. Hint. I definitely recommend this series.

I’ve read all 9 books and l love each and every one of them. Shane is one tough marine! You made me feel that he was real as well as the others. I’m sad that it’s the end for Shane… hopefully not permanently. You are my favorite author I’ve read all your books and l recommend them to anyone who not only likes ghost stories but who can fall in love with the characters. Mr Ripley brings Shane, Frank and even the ghost alive. I will continue to read everything Mr Ripley writes, he’s awesome.

I love this series! Ron ripleyRon Ripley is a fantastic writer. All his characters are believable and these books are hard to put down, yet you don’t want the story to end. Can’t wait for more of our favorite characters! Every book I’ve read from this writer so far have been great!

I absolutely love Shane Ryan and his housemates! I’m afraid this is going to be the end of their adventure and I have to honestly say that I’m not ready! I would recommend this series to anyone and everyone who asks.

First the Moving In series comes to an end and now the cessation of Shane’s ghostly adventures? How am I supposed to muddle through my life now, Mr. Ripley? I have enjoyed devouring everything this writer has written and this novel was not only one incredibly compelling story, but showcased the evolution of his talent. I highly recommend his body of work. If only all my favorite characters would STOP RETIRING!!

Most powerful ghost yet! Is this the end of Shane Ryan’s ghost hunting days? I truly hope not! There most be plenty more ghosts for Shane and Frank to go after.

This last book in the series was absolutely fantastic! I loved everything about this book. The characters, the story line, the ghosts, etc… It’s been a thrilling ride and I’m sorry to see it end just as I did the Moving In series. Both Brian Roy and Shane will always have a place in my heart. But as much as I love the paranormal and the troubles it causes for our heroes I also wish them a most deserved happy ending of their own. Ron Ripley is the best writer I’ve come across so far. A forever fan.

“Wow” & “damn” are the first two words that come to mind for this last installment of The Berkley Street series. Such a long journey we had with Shane, Frank, Marie, & the inhabitants of number 125! I’m glad it ended with our main cast still breathing. I will also always wonder if The Watchers were looking in the wrong direction for The One. With Shane’s ability to draw upon the energies of “good” ghosts to defeat “bad”, perhaps there was more there than that diabolical organization chose to see.Goodbye, my friends. You will be missed.

An interesting conclusion to this series of books. With that being said, it felt like there was a bunch of unanswered stuff across the whole series the author was just too lazy to explain.

Well, this is the end of this series and, quite frankly, it didn’t end the way I thought it might. It was a bittersweet conclusion to a series that was both compelling and gruesome. The evil entity in “Amherst Burial Ground” is The One – the “Chief Spook” that The Watchers have been seeking for decades. Shane Ryan must face this black spirit alone (with the exception of Courtney) as his living sidekicks recover from various injuries. Whether Shane survives this encounter or not I shall leave to the readers to discover, so no spoilers here.Ron Ripley is a master at delivering frights and this book does not disappoint. There are hired killers, both living and dead, and ancient evils that arise to spread death and destruction to all who enter the realm of The One. Not only must Shane and Company fight ghosts, they must also face assassins and deal with members of The Watchers who try to change allegiances, or are they?I loved this series and will miss not having future episodes to look forward to. It ended about as well as it could have, I suppose, but I felt as though Shane was a friend of mine and now he is going away. I would recommend this book and series to anyone who enjoys horror and the supernatural. Five big stars.

This is the best of Ron Ripley’s books. The characters are more interesting and the story line has more depth to it. I enjoyed reading the bonus scenes which helped answer some of my questions.

I’m one of those readers that doesn’t just see the characters as words on a page, but as friends. I’ve watched Shane go up against unbelievable odds for 9 books now, and have worried about his survival in every one. In Amherst Burial Ground the living are as bad (almost) as the dead. But their organization has never dealt with someone like Shane before, something they may or may not live to regret. Thank you Mr. Ripley, for the way you ended the book and the series. Please don’t forget about Frank. Really, who could forget about Frank?!? Those of us that view these characters, living and dead, as friends would appreciate a short update every now and then. Thank you for adding to my literary family. Please continue to write, I will continue to read! (Carl, mein Freund, wache über sie und halte sie sicher. Vielen Dank.)
