Poor Shane just keeps find himself a superhero of the underworld. This time he has to stop the ghostly killings at the Slater Mill. Looking for a finger left behind of a ghost he needs to send on his way, away from this Earth! The ghostly help of a female ghost helps Shane on his way of doing this excorcising! I would easily say this is my favorite Shane book and the bonus chapters were all well done too! If you want creepy, ghostly stories this fits the bill! Good job Mr. Ripley!

I like this author and series. There are a few minor editing issues, but the story is gripping enough that small things don’t catch my attention or bother me. I like that each book is its own story, but there is an underlying story and development of the characters and world going on a little at a time. I’m also grateful the author is a quick writer.

I’ve read the entire series and am always waiting for any more books by Ron Ripley. Slater Mill is descriptive and you can see it playing out in your head. The good guys are characters you want to root for and lend your strength to so they can overcome their obstacles. I would highly recommend you start at the beginning of the series so you can fully appreciate the writing and all the characters.

I like this series so much that I have both the Kindle and five of the audio versions. I first read the Moving In series and enjoyed those books so much that when I tried the first Berkley street I was hooked. I like the way that Shane will go to Brian and Jennifer (?) for their experience and resources. I also enjoy the bonus chapters at the end of each book that provides some background on the characters that live in Shane’s house. My main problem is with how Courtney is being dealt with. I know Shane feels some guilt what happened to her in Griswold. But I think if he truly loves her he will want to give her peace. She is not at peace. Courtney was a few steps away from some mental health issues when she was alive and now that she is a ghost she has become quite insane. It will only be a matter of time until she harms either Shane or someone else close to him. Courtney loves Shane but at the same time she is obsessed with him and she wants to possess him. That’s not a good kind of love. Overall it is a great series and I look forward to the next installment. I have to add that in the audio book versions the narrator Thom Bowers does an excellent job, Thank you Mr. Ripley!.

Near the end…I don’t want it to end…Ripley, please more🙆Shane, Frank and almost the rest are back. A Mill with a Masochist ghost a town surround by them.Shane, Frank and other characters. Riple’s writing is great. More info and many bad guys in cover. Innocent die.Shane still isn’t invincible “super-heroe”, keep his “human traits”. He felt, cry, drank, chain-smoke & live most of his life around ghosts. How could he return, help… Suffering PTSD, Depression. This time the love interest had to be far and away or not more…haha, read it!!!Ripley’s mind is sick, I love that, keep it going. CONGRATS, because of that I enjoy these books. As one of those writers that could make anything with anything. Shane and Company feel fear, stress, die of terror, suspense but never being bored. Yay…So many dead interesting ones…specially the little girl and Carl. The plot, the characters, the atmosphere, at every book change and you know the new characters and the changes of Shane, friends and his house ghosts.Ripley is an artist moving and creating that atmosphere of threat that never leaves. Every book I read from him is better and better.I’m very honest with my Reviews, not only for me, the author or other readers, how an author know when did something good or need improvement? How another reader believe in my review? If I didn’t read the book, I don’t Review. If the book is good, Review. If the book isn’t good, Review. With that we all benefit, readers, authors & readers searching for something new or special. My opinions are my own. You can find me at Amazon under: MASTERI

Must read.Watch the Watchers. The band of everyone to destroy evil is fantastic. Each story is getting deeper and you don’t want it to end with death of those who matter.

Another deadly haunting for Shane and Frank to clean up. Not to mention an unwelcome ghost at their Berkley Street home to deal with.

Second series I am on by Ron Ripley. I really like how the series are tied together with the characters. I wish Brian didn’t have a heart problem. It would be awesome if all the ghost hunting, ghost killers and the dead that help them all came together for a super finale. Either way I’m a fan.

Another great story about my favorite ghost hunter team! Our hero Shane has become as haunted as the sites he visits. This story is just as much about Shane’s issues than about the ghost.

I received the Audiobooks.com version of this book as a gift from Scare Street Publications.Slater Mill is the seventh in the Berkley Street Series and this series just keeps getting better and better. Shane Ryan, battered and bruised though he may be, continues to kick ghostly butt only this time he has earned the wrath of a group of living killers who call themselves The Watchers. It seems they have had a hand in haunted happenings in New England for decades and now find Shane and Frank are their biggest obstructions to continuing their evil deeds. This book begins to lay the foundation for a climax that will no doubt occur in Book 9, yet to be released. On top of the horrors of Slater Mill, Shane and Frank must deal with a slowly recovering Courtney, who teeters between her former gentle self and her madwoman self and the return of Jack White, who made his deadly appearance in earlier books.I gave Slater Mill five stars because, quite frankly, I enjoyed it more than the first six books. Those are all excellent reads, but this one has a bit more meat to it, at least in my opinion. It is somewhat darker than some of the earlier books and has a more complex plot as well. If the final two books of this series are as good as this one, I’ll dive in gladly.

I’ve read the book and look forward to listening to the audiobook. The narrator for the books is fantastic and really brings the books to life. Ron’s characters are complex (both the alive and the dead ones) and that makes the stories very interesting. The plots keep your imagination going and it is very easy to get absorbed in the stories!
